BougeRV CR28 30 qt review

A 30 qt fridge that publishes its power draw, 45 W in ECO and 60 W in MAX, and reaches -8 °F, the coldest here, for $279.99.

Numbers, plainly

BougeRV publishes the figures a buyer needs: about 45 W in ECO, 60 W in MAX, 45 dB, and cool-down times from 77 °F to 32 °F in 15 minutes and to -5 °F in 50 minutes. The range goes down to -8 °F, the coldest on this shelf.

A caution

BougeRV asks that the fridge not be placed in direct sunlight, because the door can deform.

Battery protection

Like every compressor fridge on this shelf, it has a three-level battery protection setting that switches it off before it drains the vehicle’s starting battery. Pick the highest level when it runs from the starter battery, and the lowest when it runs from a separate house battery or a power station.
