With 34,089 ratings at 4.5 stars, BESTEK’s 300 W inverter is the most-reviewed product on this site. It plugs into a cigarette socket, delivers 300 W continuous and 700 W for an instant, and offers two 110 V AC outlets and two USB ports with 4.8 A between them. The housing is aluminum, the fan speeds up with heat and load, and the unit is ETL certified.
The socket is the limit
A 300 W rating meets the physics of the car. Most accessory sockets are fused at 15 or 20 A, about 180 to 240 W at 12 V before inverter losses. A sustained 300 W load through the plug will usually blow the vehicle’s socket fuse long before the inverter’s own 40 A fuse reacts. For full power, an inverter has to be wired to the battery.
Modified sine wave
Like every car inverter here, it produces a modified sine wave. Laptop and phone chargers handle it; some CPAP machines and audio gear run warmer or hum. The pure sine wave inverters on this site solve that for permanent installations.

Questions owners ask about this one
Can my car socket deliver 300 W?
Most vehicle accessory sockets are fused at 15 or 20 A. At 12 V that is about 180 to 240 W before the inverter’s own losses. Check your vehicle’s fuse; above that, the inverter must be wired to the battery.
Is modified sine wave a problem?
For phone chargers and most laptop power supplies, no. Some CPAP machines, motors and audio equipment run hotter or noisier on it. The sine-wave inverters on this site produce a grid-like waveform.
Does it work in a Tesla?
BESTEK says the input was upgraded to 11–17 V for Tesla compatibility.
Our score
8.1/ 10
The default car inverter for good reason: compact, certified and widely reviewed. Its 300 W rating is more than most car sockets can supply.
