The designation

H1Z2Z2-K. That is the harmonised code for photovoltaic cable — halogen-free, cross-linked, rated for the ultraviolet and temperature a solar run meets. Ordinary flexible cable is not this, and the difference shows after three summers.

The voltages

1500 V DC nominal, 1800 V DC maximum. Both published. The only cable in this family to give the margin as well as the rating.

The certification

TÜV Rheinland, named. A body, not an adjective, and a certificate that can be requested.

The insulation

Double-layer XLPE, described in the second bullet. That is the construction the designation implies, stated rather than assumed.
