The wheel

Fine adjustment of crimping force by conductor size and ferrule type, for clean and reproducible crimps. Six of the seven tools in this family adjust themselves; this one asks you to set it.

That is a trade rather than a feature. Set correctly, it tunes the crimp to a particular ferrule. Forgotten between sizes, it makes a bad one.
