One metre, IP44, and 3680 watts.

The length

One metre. It sounds like nothing and it is the length that is never in the drawer: the socket behind the freezer, the outdoor point on the wrong side of the door frame.

A ten-metre lead does the same job and then lies in a coil for the rest of the afternoon.

Full capacity

1.5 mm² conductors, 3680 W at 16 A. A short lead has no voltage drop worth mentioning, so the whole rating is available — which matters if what is plugged in is a heater or a kettle rather than a lamp.

The lid

Hinged, over the socket. Not a loose cap that disappears — attached, and closed when nothing is plugged in.

The contradiction

The title calls the cable PVC. The fifth bullet calls it oil-resistant, crush-resistant rubber.

Those are different materials with different cold behaviour, and the harmonised designation that would settle it — H05RR-F or H07RN-F — is not given. Six of the seven leads in this family do give one.

And no RCD version

Like every lead in this family. For a lead used with a mower or a hedge trimmer on wet grass, that is the version worth asking about, and nobody here offers it.
