The alarm

Connect a load above 13 A and the meter sounds. Seven plug meters in this family and one warns you.

The junction between a wall socket, a plug meter and a heavy load is where the heat goes, and 13 A is a conservative threshold — the other meters here are rated to 16 A. This one starts complaining earlier.

The modes

Eleven. The listing names six: time, power in watts, cumulative consumption in kilowatt-hours, voltage, frequency, current. What the remaining five show is not stated.

The buttons

MODE, SET, UP, DOWN. Four, which is more than the two on the REV meter and suits the number of modes.

Before first use

A pin goes into the hole in the middle of the meter to reset it. Described in the fourth bullet, and the kind of thing that is much better read beforehand than discovered.

Two versions

With and without a green backlight. The backlit one for a dark corner, the plain one for a bedroom.

The bullets are written in English in a German-language catalogue, and the specification is thinner than any other meter here: no range, no accuracy, no rating.

Availability
