What it does

Clamps onto the negative terminal and breaks the connection when the green knob is turned. Nothing is cut, nothing is crimped, and it comes off as easily as it went on.

What fits

Posts from 14 to 17 mm, which covers most standard batteries. Outside that range it will not grip, and measuring takes a moment.

That last one is the practical question: an isolator opened while current flows draws an arc, and on a running engine that is an alternator problem as well as a contact problem. The Spurtar and ProPlus switches in this family publish two current figures each; this one publishes none.

German and French Amazon stores quoted 9 € to 11 € when this page was compiled.

British Amazon store carries it too, priced in its own currency, which the euro range above deliberately omits.

Italian and Spanish Amazon stores wanted more than 1.6× what the cheapest country wanted. A margin that wide usually means stock shipped in from elsewhere rather than a seller on the ground, so those quotes stay out of the range above.

American Amazon catalogue carries an entry for it, with nobody selling.
