Four outputs

Rather than stacking four cable lugs on one bolt — where each added lug reduces the pressure on the ones below — this gives each accessory its own take-off. On a leisure battery feeding a fridge, a monitor, a light circuit and a charger, that is the difference between four joints and one bad one.

Brass, named, described as corrosion and rust resistant. Two of the five terminals in this family name nothing.

The lever

Quick release in aluminium alloy. Isolating the battery becomes a second’s work, which matters on a vehicle stored for months.

It is also a mechanism on the joint carrying the full bank current. A dedicated isolator switch — there is a whole family of them in this catalogue — does the same job in a component designed for it.
