What it is

Carbon steel jaws for 2.5, 4 and 6 mm² solar contacts, with a non-slip grip and leverage described as requiring little hand force. Nothing else in the box.

Why that might be the right purchase

The tool included in a connector kit is the cheapest component of it. Anyone crimping more than a few contacts, or remaking a joint that failed, is better served by a tool chosen on its own. This is that tool.

The steel

Named, which is more than two of the four tools here manage. The jaws deform a copper barrel at pressure, repeatedly, and a jaw that loses its profile makes crimps the contact was not designed for.

The lines still left blank

A ratchet, so the pressure depends on the hand. And any crimping force or standard — none of the four tools in this family publishes either.

German, French, Italian and Spanish Amazon stores quoted 25 € to 30 € when this page was compiled.
