The complete purchase

One tool, ten pairs of connectors, two assembly spanners. For a first solar run that is everything except the cable and a stripper.

The dies

2.5, 4 and 6 mm², given also as 10 to 14 AWG. Covering both conventions makes the tool usable with cable bought either way.

No ratchet, and what that costs

A ratchet. A ratcheting crimper will not open until the crimp is fully formed, which makes the pressure repeatable. Without one, an under-pressed crimp looks identical to a correct one and heats under load — the exact failure a solar connector should not have.

And no stripper

The cable still has to be stripped, and nothing in the kit does it.

German, French, Italian and Spanish Amazon stores quoted 22 € to 26 € when this page was compiled.

British Amazon store carries it too, priced in its own currency, which the euro range above deliberately omits.
