The terminal

M8, published. A shunt sits in the main negative path and carries the whole bank current, so the lugs have to match. Knowing the size before it arrives means the cable can be made up in advance rather than after unpacking.

Why publish the terminal type?

Because a shunt goes in the main negative path, carrying everything the bank delivers. M8 tells you which lugs to crimp onto the cable before the monitor arrives, which four of the five monitors in this family leave you to discover.

Is a 9999 Ah range useful?

Not as a limit anyone reaches — it is simply well beyond any domestic bank. What it tells you is that the entry field is not the constraint, which on a monitor configured by hand is worth knowing.
