How much difference does 4 kg against 7.8 kg make?

It is the difference between a panel that goes in a rucksack and one that goes in a boot. Both are 200 W. On a shelf where weight is rarely published at all, the two figures sitting side by side are the clearest comparison in this catalogue.

Why name the battery chemistries?

Because a panel connected to a battery has to suit how that battery charges, and AGM, LiFePO4 and deep-cycle lead all want different profiles. Naming the three is a compatibility statement, though what actually manages the charge is still a controller this panel does not include.
