What is in the box

Screws, a strap and adjustment belts. Not just the strap — the screws too, which the Nuova Rade box in this family explicitly leaves out.

The third bullet says what they do: damp shocks, prevent tipping, protect against water contact. That is the complete job of a battery box, stated plainly.

The material

Black polypropylene, light and resistant, described as flexible but not deformable. Made by TREM for GATE14, entirely in Italy.

Waterproof

Named as the reason it suits boats, in the first bullet.

That is the right answer for a sealed battery — AGM, GEL, lithium — where spray and bilge water are the threat. It is the wrong answer for a flooded lead-acid battery, which vents hydrogen while charging and needs somewhere for it to go.

The listing does not raise the distinction, and it is the one to think about before ordering.

The size

38 × 20 × H24 cm, for batteries to 110 A. Measure the battery rather than trusting the capacity figure.

The fourth bullet suggests it as a tool case when it is not holding a battery, which is an unusually honest thing to say about a box.
