An isolator you operate from outside the vehicle.

The number that justifies it

Twenty milliamps on standby. A remote isolator has to stay awake to hear the fob, and that draw is what an isolator is supposed to prevent. Publishing it is the right thing to do — roughly half an amp-hour a day, which is less than most vehicles leak and more than nothing.

The backstop

Automatic cut-off below 7.8 V. If the standby draw and everything else takes the battery down, the switch lets go rather than finishing it.

What is supplied

The switch and two remotes. The CR2016 cells are not included, which is worth knowing before the day it is fitted.

A figure that cannot be read

The operating temperature is given as 30° to 90°, with no unit and no sign. As printed it is not a usable range, and it is a question for the seller rather than something to infer.

And what is not described

The terminals. The mounting. On a 240 A switch, both matter.

Availability

German Amazon store quoted about 22 € when this page was compiled.

French, Italian and Spanish Amazon catalogues carry an entry for it, with nobody selling.
