A bottle, not a brush.

A bottle, not a brush

One litre of concentrate, diluted 1:20 with water, making up to twenty litres of cleaning solution. There is no brush, no pole, no water feed and no squeegee — five of the seven lines on this shelf describe a tool, and this is a chemical.

What it claims to remove

Bird droppings, moss and pollen. The three things that actually shade a panel, as opposed to the thin film of dust that barely does.

What is absent from it

Hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid and sulphuric acid, all three named. Described as readily biodegradable.

Naming what is not in a cleaner is more useful than describing what is: those three are what attack an anti-reflective coating and the seals around a frame.

The sealant

A hydrophobic nano layer applied in the same pass, so rain beads and carries dirt off rather than drying on the glass.

How long it lasts is not published. That is the question worth asking, because a sealant that survives one month of weather and one that survives a season are very different purchases.

The figure to treat carefully

Up to 10 % efficiency gain, third bullet. No source, no method, no starting condition.

A filthy panel can lose that much; a lightly dusty one loses very little. The number describes a best case, and the listing does not say so.

German Amazon store quoted about 18 € when this page was compiled.

American, British, French, Italian and Spanish Amazon stores returned nothing at all, so the buy button there runs a search instead of landing on an empty page.
