The reach

That is the whole argument for this product. The alternative is a ladder against a roof edge with a bucket in one hand, and that is how people fall. Six metres covers a single-storey roof and most carports from standing on the ground.

Water at the head

Four jets distributing water directly at the brush, fed by the supplied ten-metre hose.

Not water running down the pole and arriving wherever gravity takes it — jets at the working end, where the dirt is. That is what makes a single pass do something.

The head

33 cm, flexible enough to set flat, vertical or angled. Wide enough that a panel takes few passes, and articulated enough to lie flat against glass at an angle.

Soft bristles

Named for photovoltaic cleaning, removing dust, pollen and loose deposits with water alone. Soft is the right answer on an anti-reflective coating.

What is in the set

Aluminium pole, brush head, 10 m hose, soap dispenser, connection set.

What is not

Any cleaning agent — the dispenser is supplied empty. And any squeegee, so the glass dries as it dries. On hard water that shows; on output it barely matters.

And a practical caution the listing does not raise: six metres of wet aluminium fully extended is heavy, and it is above your head.
