The only product in this catalogue that says how long it will last.

Ten thousand cycles

Over 10 000 insertions, in a polycarbonate housing with a soft-touch handle.

That is roughly seven years of plugging in and out twice a day. It is the number a daily-use connector should be sold on, and across every cable, connector and plug in this catalogue, one listing gives it.

Tested at minus forty

IP54, rated from −40 °C to +50 °C, and drop-tested at −40 °C — the cable and the plugs both.

Cold is when a plastic housing becomes brittle and a dropped connector cracks. Testing the drop at the bottom of the range rather than at room temperature is the harder test and the honest one.

The contacts

Silvered, with the reason given: consistent conductivity and low heat generation during charging. A contact that heats is a contact that is degrading, and silver is what keeps the resistance down over thousands of cycles.

The composition

PFAS-free materials, no halogen-based flame retardants. Nobody else on this shelf says anything about what their plastics are made of.

The ceiling

20 A, three phase, 11 kW. The tomons cable here reaches 32 A and 22 kW for less money — a faster cable, with none of these durability figures.

Cross-section and weight, on every cable here

The cross-section and the weight. Seven cables in this family, and not one publishes either.
