The cable reel here does something no other reel in this catalogue does.

It admits the rating has a condition

Maximum 3000 W at 230 V with the extension cable unwound.

Three other reels give a single number. This one says which state the number applies to — and a wound drum cannot shed heat, so every reel rating is conditional whether or not the listing says so.

The restart lock

When the thermal switch trips, it stays tripped.

Without that, a reel that overheated cools, re-energises itself with the same load still connected, and does it all unattended. The lock makes someone come and look.
