Five spares, and the dimensions to check them
Ouitble Five carbon brushes for 2–3 kW 168F generators, 5 × 3 × 1 cm
A set of five carbon brushes for 2 to 3 kW petrol generators with 168F engines, each measuring 5 × 3 × 1 cm, in fine carbon.
Five brushes, measured.
What a brush failure looks like
The engine runs perfectly and there is no power at the socket. Or there is, and then there is not, and then there is again.
Carbon brushes carry current to the rotating field through slip rings. As they wear, the contact becomes intermittent, and the symptom looks like a dead alternator rather than a two-euro consumable.
The compatibility
Petrol generators from 2 kW to 3 kW with 168F engines. That engine designation covers a very large share of small portable generators, whatever badge is on the frame.
And the dimensions: 5.00 × 3.00 × 1.00 cm, published to two decimals. A brush a millimetre oversize binds in the holder; a millimetre undersize rattles and arcs.
Measuring the old one is the check, and this listing gives you something to measure against.
Five in the pack
A generator usually takes two. Five means a full change with spares left in the drawer — which, for a part that fails slowly and at the worst moment, is the right quantity.
What is claimed loosely
Original accessories, in the fourth bullet, without naming whose original. Reported as printed.
And four lines that do not apply
Parallel kits, covers, venting, wheel loads, oil. This family is a drawer of unrelated spares, and these are brushes.
