Why the double numbers

Inverters are conventionally rated twice: continuous output and peak. A motor, a compressor or a pump draws several times its running current at the instant it starts, and the peak figure says whether the inverter survives that moment.

Publishing both is the correct form, and the individual pages note which listings do.

What a UPS adds over an inverter

A transfer time. An inverter converts; a UPS notices the mains has gone and takes over fast enough that a computer does not reboot. Those are different products with overlapping hardware.

What to read on each page

Whether the waveform is described as pure sine or modified, because that determines what can safely be plugged in — and the difference is not visible from the outside.
